Design That Fits Your Lifestyle
Quality That Lasts for Years
A Seamless, Hands-Off Experience
Your Property Has Possibilities. Let’s Give Them a Plan.
Having outdoor space and enjoying it are not always the same thing. You might have room for a larger patio but no clear idea where it should go. An old lawn may dominate the backyard while the places you actually use feel cramped. Or previous improvements may have left you with several finished areas that never quite connect.
We help you look beyond the next individual feature. By working through the layout, materials, priorities, and scope before construction, we can establish how the improvements should fit together—and what makes sense to build first. The goal is a landscape that supports everyday life, not just a better view through the window.
Our Landscaping Services in Loomis
A complete renovation does not have to include everything. It needs the right combination of improvements for your property. These services can be brought together around a front yard, backyard, outdoor gathering area, or broader landscape installation.
Landscape Design & Backyard Renovations
Give your project a clear direction before work begins. We help you explore the layout, select materials, and connect patios, planting, lawn areas, and outdoor features. When detailed drawings or 3D visuals are needed, we coordinate with landscape designers and explain how that additional planning fits into the project.
Paver & Concrete Installation
Create places to gather and practical connections between your home and yard. We install paver and concrete patios, walkways, driveways, and related hardscape features. From a welcoming front approach to a patio with room for dinner guests, we help you consider the size, shape, finish, and relationship to the surrounding landscape.
Retaining Walls, Drainage & Grading
Address uneven ground and water concerns before installing the finishing touches. We combine retaining walls, grading, and drainage improvements where the project calls for them. French drains, surface drainage, and changes to the yard’s slope are considered around the actual conditions—not treated as interchangeable fixes for every property.
Sod, Artificial Turf & Irrigation
Choose a lawn area around how you use your yard and the upkeep you prefer. We install natural sod and artificial turf, along with new irrigation systems and complete sprinkler-system replacements. Our irrigation work focuses on new installations and substantial upgrades rather than individual sprinkler repairs or small maintenance calls.
Water-Efficient Landscaping
Bring color, texture, and useful outdoor space into areas that no longer need to be lawn. We help you explore drought-tolerant planting, ground coverings, and irrigation choices that support your watering and maintenance priorities. A lower-water landscape can still feel green and inviting, with planting that complements the rest of the yard.
Outdoor Kitchens, Pergolas & Outdoor Living
Make space for the activities that bring you outside. Outdoor kitchens, pergolas, gazebos, patio covers, and fire-pit areas can be planned around cooking, dining, and relaxing. Ponds and water features offer another way to personalize the landscape. We consider how these additions connect with patios, seating, pathways, and planting.
A Finished Landscape Without Losing the Feel of Loomis
Loomis places a strong emphasis on preserving its rural character and tree canopy. A landscape improvement can respect that setting while creating more comfortable, useful space around your home. Existing trees and the areas you want to preserve deserve attention early in the planning process—not after the layout has been chosen.
On a larger property, that may mean concentrating improvements around the house rather than trying to landscape every square foot. A patio, a practical lawn area, and well-placed planting could establish the spaces you need while leaving other areas less formal. In an established backyard, the priority might be improving the connections between features you already enjoy. The right approach starts with your property and how you want to live there.
Why Choose Caligreen Landscaping?
A Plan Built Around Your Priorities
We start with what you want to change, what you want to keep, and how you expect to use the finished space. Your goals help define the work.
Attention to the Groundwork
Grading, drainage, and installation preparation are part of the project from the beginning. We look at what the landscape needs beneath the surface as well as how it will look when finished.
Straightforward Recommendations
We explain the proposed improvements and material options so you can make informed decisions. You can review the scope before committing to construction.
Respect for Your Property
Organized work areas, clear communication, and cleanup matter throughout the installation. The experience of having the work completed is part of the project, too.
Construction With the Finished Space in Mind
We pay attention to how the individual features work together, with an emphasis on dependable installation and a landscape you can continue to use and enjoy.
How Your Landscaping Project Comes Together
Tell Us About Your Yard
Your Free Landscape Clarity Plan begins with a phone-based conversation about your goals, budget range, layout ideas, and material preferences. You do not need a finished design to get started.
Review the Plan & Proposal
For qualified projects, we arrange an on-site walkthrough to understand the property and discuss the proposed improvements. From there, we work toward a defined scope and material direction so you can understand what moving forward involves.
Build Your New Outdoor Space
Once the scope and schedule are agreed upon, our installation team gets to work. We keep you informed as the project progresses and finish with a walkthrough of the completed installation.
What Does Landscaping Cost in Loomis?
The size of your property is only one part of the budget. The area being improved, removal of existing materials, equipment access, preparation, and the features you choose all influence the proposal. A project focused on a new patio and surrounding planting will have a different scope from a renovation that also includes retaining walls, drainage, and irrigation.
Caligreen’s minimum total project cost is $8,000. That applies to the overall project, not the price of each feature included within it.
Sharing your budget early helps us discuss priorities and alternatives. We can explore whether a revised layout, different materials, or a phased approach would better fit your plans.
Loomis Landscaping FAQs
Can we install a patio or irrigation system near an existing oak tree in Loomis?
Possibly, but you’ll need to consider protected trees before planning the work. Within town limits, Loomis’ tree-conservation ordinance regulates certain activities around protected trees—not just their removal.
Trenching, grading, paving, and disturbing roots within a protected tree’s critical root zone can require a tree permit. The ordinance also addresses equipment access and material storage in that area. Before finalizing a patio or irrigation layout near an oak, confirm the tree’s protected status and the applicable requirements with the Town. Arborist documentation may be needed.
Does leveling or regrading a yard require a permit in Loomis?
It can. The Town’s published guidance identifies grading over 50 cubic yards, work within a riparian area, and clearing more than one acre as situations requiring a grading permit. Riparian areas are the land associated with streams and similar waterways.
Smaller projects should still be checked against the detailed exemption conditions, which consider factors such as the depth and slope of the proposed work. For property within town limits, contact Loomis Public Works before importing soil, changing elevations, or beginning grading near a waterway. Do not assume a project is exempt simply because it is in a residential backyard.
Are water-saving landscaping rebates available for Loomis homeowners?
Loomis homeowners who are eligible Placer County Water Agency customers may qualify for lawn-replacement, irrigation-efficiency, or smart-controller rebates. Eligibility depends on the water account, proposed improvements, and current program requirements—not just the property’s mailing address. Funding is limited, so confirm availability directly with PCWA before including an incentive in your budget.
For lawn replacement, contact the agency before removing existing grass. PCWA’s application requires agreement to a pre-conversion site inspection before lawn removal. These are water-agency programs, not automatic discounts on Caligreen’s installation pricing.
Where can I see examples of water-efficient landscaping in Loomis?
The Loomis Library Demonstration Garden at 6050 Library Drive is a useful place to explore ideas. Created by the UC Master Gardeners of Placer County, it includes California native planting, pollinator-friendly areas, lawn alternatives, rain gardens, and edible landscaping. Labeled plants help visitors identify options they may like to use at home. Check the library’s current garden hours before visiting.
Bring photographs or the names of plants you like into your project discussion. They can help communicate the colors, textures, and overall appearance you have in mind without requiring you to arrive with a complete landscape plan.
